Content, content, content…
Content is probably one of the most complicated things… But not really!
Honestly, content is as simple as tying your shoes, but for some reason when we go to plan to do it something “always comes up.”
If you’re not the person to make excuses and you are successful at publishing content every single week, you either are feeling like you’re not getting the results that you want out of it OR… You are wondering how you can gain more traction in order get more results from the time you spend publishing content.
Today we want to break down a few easy strategies to create content faster. Plus I want to share more about the strategies you should be doing with every piece of content so that you are getting quality results.
Remember, results take time and we are not teaching how to make your next video go viral. We are really focusing on how to create content that will leave a lasting impression on your current customer base and future customers to come.
This will probably be the simplest thing but trust me it really works!
When it comes to content, you need to pick two days of the month, schedule them for your content creation days and get your content DONE.
With AI at your fingertips, it really shouldn’t take your written work too long, and if you’re planning on filming content you just need to plan a day or two to knock out what you need to.
An example would be…
October 5th I create my written content, graphics and videos and then on October 7th I schedule out and proofread all of my content for the month.
Invest into easy to use editing tools like Canva to create your graphics, find stock images, icons etc. It really makes creative content easy to produce!
I also recommend Kapwing if you plan to be more video focused. It's also very user friendly, and you can save video formats to keep things like your logo or website in place etc.
All platforms have different benefits!
There is not one that performs over the other. If you are consistent with one you will see traction the more time and content you put into it.
However, if you want to pursue one style of content over the other then that needs to be considered if you are just trying to determine which one to invest most of your time in.
Here is a simple outline we tell people when they are trying to determine which platforms to spend most of their time on...
LinkedIn = Written Content works best here
Youtube = Video Content :)
Instagram = A mixture of both video, graphics, remixes, reels etc
Facebook = Also a mixture of written and video content, graphics, shares, etc.
Content can be a mixture of videos, selfie pictures, have quality graphics, images, statistics and be consistent, but the most common thing we tell people to do with their content is to make sure the content is of yourself!
If you are an investor that mostly does fix and flips, then you are going to want to demonstrate all that you do. The people you work with, the before and after photos to show your work etc. People want to see what makes you a professional
Written content could look more like you offering tips, resources such as guides, calculators etc.
Many times your ideas will come from the questions you get from clients, and that can make the most valuable and quality content.
Before I explain this strategy, I want to put a big disclaimer on this…
You will only get results with this strategy if you have a website or landing page and are on Google Business Profile.
If you do not have a Google Business Profile, then go ahead and grab our free Google guide to help you get one set up and optimized to perform well on Google.
Second, if you have no website at all, please reach out to our team to see how they can provide you with a very inexpensive Micro-Site. This can be set up fairly quickly and help you start driving organic traffic to your services.
You don’t have to follow these 5 strategies in perfect order, especially depending on the type of content you are focused on.
Plan Your Topics
Create An Outline Of Each Topic
Film Any Video Content
Move Onto the Written Content
Edit and Create Graphics
Once your videos are done and edited, go ahead and get them onto Youtube. We recommend spacing them out and adding SEO optimized Keywords to each video.
Blogs sound a bit overrated, but the purpose for them is to actually help you rank higher on Google. These don’t have to be long blogs and can also be in the form of updates, resources, guides etc. Whatever fits your ideal customer best is what you should be publishing.
Once you have your blog written, make sure to optimize it with performing keywords in your industry and SEO the blogs through photos and on the back end.
Here is a quick example of what it looks like to add SEO keywords inside of the UpRank Blog Editor…
Before you publish your blogs make sure you add at least 3-5 quality images to it, all SEO optimized of course. You will also want to add that short video you created into this blog article as well.
Then repurpose those graphics, video and that blog article on different platforms.
Using Canva is a time saver because they have a magic resize button that allows you to create the same graphic, but in the correct size for all different platforms.
They can easily change sizing for social media platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and Youtube.
I know this all sounds easy to follow, but taking the time out of your hectic schedule to ensure this gets done is difficult and not always easy to follow. If you find yourself in need, make sure to reach out to the UpRank team for recommendations on how you can get help making sure your content is being published on a timely basis.
You can simply use the Blog + Video + Posting Strategy only.
If you do, make sure you boost and share about that article on Facebook, Google Business Profile and Add the blog to LinkedIn as an article itself. That does take a bit more time but worth it because it's being published directly onto LinkedIn.
If you plan more content, then we highly recommend to pre-schedule as much as you can!
This helps you to ensure content is being published no matter how hectic your work schedule is that day.
